How do you kill the evening snack monster?

I can usually avoid snacking at night.  Most of the time anyway.  Today, however is a different story.

I just had a mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, and a box of Nerds.   Damn Easter candy... but as soon as Im done typing this, I'm going to brush my teeth.  Let's hope that does the trick!

Today's eats...

Coffee and water as usual

Breakfast - 1 slice Sara Lee Delightful Whole Grain with 1 tbsp whipped peanut butter

Lunch - 4oz bbq chicken breast (shredded), and a salad

Snack - Fit and Active String Cheese and 2 Simm's Turkey Sticks

Somewhere in between lunch and afternoon snack I had a few jelly beans, and a mini cadbury creme egg.   I also tried some new rice cakes today.  Quaker mini Sour Cream and Onion.  These were VERY tasty!!

10 mini rice cakes have 70 calories, 12 carbs, and 1 gram of protein

Dinner - was 3 oz (1/2 cup) of Trader Joes BBQ Chicken Teriyaki.  You can find this in the freezer section at Trader Joes.

1 cup (170 grams) have 150 calories, 6 carbs, and 9 grams of protein

Gym today was cardio only. I struggle on cardio only days.   I just get bored so easily, but I managed 50 minutes.  I should've finished the last 10 minutes to make it an even hour, but I just wasn't feeling it.    I ran 2.5 miles in 30 minutes, then 20 minutes on the elliptical, interval setting with a resistance of 10, crossramp of 8 and 12.  I ended up burning 545 calories.

Totals for today

  1. I have no attention span at the gym lately. I try to read but if I am bouncing around too much I get motion sickness... so I stare at the clock. That helps a lot. NOT. I need a workout buddy to chat with...

    Anyways... that's it friend :)

  2. I must say that when you say that you should have done the extra 10 minutes...I think to myself...shoot I wish I could do 50 minutes without getting bored. This is why I have to push myself to go to the classes so I can't just give up and leave. :-) Awesome job as usual Jaclyn!
